I’d like to take the sunshine right from the sky
And let it shine on you through my eyes
You see we’re all in the same boat, trying to float
So everybody grab an oar, we can make it to shore

When there’s nothing but no
And there’s nowhere to go
You find a way.
That’s where you shine.

It’s been a long time (for me) since I’ve been creative, so this month I’m trying something new. I’m going to post a photo a day for the month of November. Sometimes they might have words with them, sometimes not. It’s been too long since I regularly used my camera and I need to get back in the saddle.
So what are my rules for this totally arbitrary thing just I made up that I’m calling ProShoMoMo (Project Shoot More Month) (yeah I didn’t spend a lot of time with the name) (bygones)? Post a photo a day, Monday through Friday. It doesn’t have to be a new photo, but that’s my goal. For me that’s a little more realistic than committing to shooting a new photo every day, while still exercising my shutter finger.
So, without further ado…ProShoMoMo. Day One. I’d love it if you joined me!
The most interesting things in Chinatown happen in the back alleys. I would have missed hearing his beautiful music had I not taken the road less traveled.
I love how Chinatown is all in your face with the bright colors, and the bustle, and the smell of amazing food, and the bridge quietly stands in the background like a sentinel. Watching.

I was so focused on taking pictures at this overlook that I missed the Osprey that flew 5 feet over my head with a giant fish in its mouth. Jason was yelling at me from the Jeep to look up, and I missed the whole thing. I got a great shot, but missed a rare sight.

I found a cluster of the tiniest yellow wildflowers hugging the base of a huge tree. They reminded me that I can be all brave and stiff-upper-lip most of the time, but when I need them I have my own stalwart trees to shelter me. It’s a comforting feeling.
